What is Fishmas? When is Fishmas in Mammoth Lakes? Those are common questions up here in the Eastern Sierra. Well, Fishmas is the traditional opening day for fishing in and around the Mammoth Lakes area. It happens every year on the last Saturday of April. This year, Fishmas falls on April 30, 2022.
